freezing

My computer keeps on freezing up and it is just driving me crazy because it will freeze right when I go to save it it just shuts down for no reason at all and then I lose everything that I had worked on and it is so frustrating. I don't want to have to save it every 5 minutes that is so annoying but I guess it is what I will have to do.
